MINI Crossword Puzzle Scavenger Hunt

How does it work? Each team/MINI will pay a $10 fee. This fee will be for the winning teams. You will also need a digital camera/cellphone (with USB cable/memory card reader for your particular camera/cellphone) or Polaroid camera for proof that you went to the spots. You will need a copilot to help you out reading the clues and with the pictures. You can have a full MINI if you like. Just remember, if you win, your copilot will want half the winnings. So, we will all meet at a starting location. From there, we each get a blank crossword puzzle. The clues will be places you need to drive to and find the answer for that clue. So everyone would start with a different number from the board and then you go through the list. The clues would be things such as "What color house is 15 Park Ave?" or "What is the name of the river that Main Street crosses?" and things like that.  You will also need to take a picture of you or your copilot in front of or next to the answer. You will be scored on your time to complete the crossword puzzle. You are penalized for incorrect answers and any time over, or under, the goal time. We don't want everyone racing around the area and breaking any laws or cheating so there is a minimum required times to complete the puzzle. So when you complete the crossword puzzle, there will be highlighted boxes that will spell out a location. Then we all will meet up there and determine the winner. We will also give out sealed envelopes to each team in case you are stuck and can't figure out some of the answers or what the destination location is so you don't get left behind and can still me up with the rest of the group at the end. The first place prize will be 1/2 of the total put into the pool. Second place will be 1/3 of the total put into the pool. Third place will be the remaining amount. I have seen a lot of small MINI clubs do this type of drive and it seems to have a lot of good reviews and very high turnouts, so I would like to try it! I think it would be a really fun time and I hope everyone would come out to do it!
